My cousins decided to take me here for my birthday which was excellent! When we first arrived we got seated quickly. I've been to about 4 or 5 Brazilian steakhouses around the bay area so I knew what to expect. Upon arriving, I feel the guy (who was the host) was slightly annoyed with us..I don't know why! But the lady (she could've been the manager or manager wife) was so nice & friendly! Now on to the food. The salad bar was nice & fresh I can't complain. The meats were good & tender! My cousins kept asking for some type of seafood which they kept saying they were going to bring it out.. but never did! I guess! But overall pretty cool experience given that it's in Oakland. I'm surprised!

Finally tried this place the other night after waiting so long. There was so many meats and an extensive salad bar with soups, rice, seafood, and other items. Of course I tried to save my appetite for the meats. I liked the place but It wouldn't be my first choice to go back. I felt a little rushed. They try to start you off with the cheaper meats such as pork and chicken but we kept saying No. Then when they do come around with the better meats, it's just one after the other. There was no particular order or anything so it was just difficult trying to keep up with which meats you already had or not. After we finished our meal and paid, we were finishing up our cocktails and the staff kept staring at us as if they were waiting for us to leave. We felt very rushed.

We tried this place for the first time, and it was amazing. We definitely went into a meat coma, but that's not a bad thing. Great ownership, perfect service, great quality of food. Brazilian Pudim (flan) - this may be the best version of flan I've ever had in my life. So good I wanted to cry.

My husband and I went here for our anniversary for lunch. At first we had the restaurant to ourselves for 30 min. Salad bar was decent selection. Pineapple was super sweet! We tried 13 different meat. Lots of top sirloin. My favorite was surprisingly the skirt steak! We've been to all the Brazilian steakhouse that we know of in the Bay Area and this one is tied for 2nd for one of my favorite. (I won't mention favorite here because that's rude). Service was excellent. I was so full and the manager/server still brought us ice cream dessert to make our anniversary special. Price is expected to be average for Brazilian steakhouse. Great job!

We came in on a Sunday, right when they opened at 5pm. Served us Brazilian appetizers. Offered us to go to the salad bar. (No mussels in the salad bar when we arrived.) They offered 13 meats (4 porks, 2 chickens, 1 lamb, 6 Beefs.) I have numbered the meats as they came. I requested a small slice and took ONE bite of each meat as they came. I was able to try all 13 meats offered without being full. Once I tasted all 13 meats, I ate only the ones I liked most. Although I only had one serving of each 13 meats, I was not allowed to take home the remaining meats that was left over on my plate. Meats in order as they came out on Sunday at 5pm. 1) Parmesan Pork 2) Brazilian Sausage (Pork) 3) Chicken with Rosemary 4) Lamb 5) Brazilian Beef 6) Chicken with Bacon 7) Pork Belly 8) Top Sirloin 9) Pork Ribs 10) Rib Eye 11) Prime Rib 12) Garlic Beef 13) Filet Mignon A small bite of each one, will allow you to have room for desert, the 5 layer chocolate cake was delicious and big enough to share. Thank you John Randolph, (The Director of Sales), very friendly, professional, and accommodating. We were considering Galeto Brazilian Steak House for our daughter's college graduation party. Although the food was quite exquisite and customer service was professional, we decided to go somewhere else since my daughter preferred a more private setting. Thank you John R. Your restaurant was our first Brazilian Steak House. Thank you Chef Albert for making us feel extra special by bringing to our table the freshly cooked Prime Rib and Brazilian Beef. Cost $64.95 per person. Worth a try...pace yourself. Chew slowly to savor each bite... your pallet will thank you for the Brazilian Taste. Enjoy the evening with a friendly, professional service. 4.7 stars Located in Downtown Oakland, Galeto Brazilian Steakhouse has the best Brazilian food in town. The minute you sit down, a delicious plate of cheese bread, yuca, and plantain is served to you. The salad bar had so many different options: cheese, lox, salami, fruits, soup, salad... it's like a buffet! The salmon, lox, and lobster bisque were my favorite!! The lobster bisque was so rich and creamy! I had two bowls. lol The food was amazing, the servers came frequently to our table with a different selection of meats: sirloin, ribeye, pork ribs, parmesan pork, bacon-wrapped chicken, sausage, and more. Overall, the staff was super friendly and accommodating and the food was mouth-watering! Perfect place for a date night, work party, birthday, girl's night out, or just a delicious dinner.
